Summit Forum
The goal is to present the notion that Tsinghua will work with the entire Hacker Community, to Fuse Hacker Culture with Formal Education in an Integrated Intelligent System. What we mean by Intelligent System, is a Master Degree program run under the code name, GIX, Global Innovation Exchange, by Tsinghua University in the Washington State, with Microsoft Corp, and U of Washington. In Beijing, we will have the same idea in iCenter, where I work. We will have a program covering embedded system design (Micro-Scopic Intelligent System), Robotic Systems (Meso-Scopic Intelligence), and Intelligent Transportation System (Macro-Scopic Intelligence), all related to a common core curriculum.

清华在华盛顿建立分校,和微软做3个硕士项目 Tsinghua corperates with Microsoft to establish branch school in Washington, offering the following 3 master programes.
- 嵌入式系统(智能硬件)Embedded system (Smart hardware)
- 机器人(Robots)
- 智能交通(Smart transportation system)
- 现状:三者串联还不够(Current situation: these three branches are not well connected yet)

介观目标(Mess scale)
- 让所有人在现场看到清华在做融合资源,包括文化、内容、规范。我们把破铜烂铁和高精尖的东西都连成一个体系 Everyone sees that Tsinghua is fusing resources, including culture, contents and norms. We are combining rough materials with high-end products into one system.
- 把学校投入的公共资源变成明确的支持开放性的智能系统的公共服务机构 All the public resource invested by the school become clear support for public service for open intellegent system.
- 把超越学科的学习变成所有学科的协议,就可以成为如数学的一级学科 The trans-disciplinary learning become the basic norm for all disciplines.
微观目标(Micro scale)
- 以智能城市为主题,展现嵌入式系统、机器人与智能交通运输系统,做出一个沙盘 Based on the theme of smart city, we present embedded system, robots and smart transportation system. We make a sandbox of a city.
- 避免形成一般创客日活动摆地摊的感觉 Avoid the feeling of "market place" which is common in many maker faire
